Big Lizzie is a very large tractor-trailer unit powered by a single cylinder crude oil engine. The tractor is eighteen feet high and weighs forty five tons. Big Lizzie's maximum speed was two miles per hour. She was used to cart wool in the Outback, and was also useful for land clearing activities, as she was very good at pulling out tree stumps. She was bought by the people of Red Cliffs (near Mildura in Victoria) and is on permanent display there, along with the surviving trailer of her original two.

Big Lizzie benefitted from a patented system of "feet". Each wheel was enclosed by six "feet", so that she effectively laid her own track and was able to traverse country where there were no made roads.
