This page contains pictures of the exterior of the Parish Church of St. James the Great in East Malling.

The entrance to the Church seems to be a good place to start: here is the main West door, the Church sign, and the Tower.

The memorial to Mary Baker is to the left of the main West door. I photographed it twice!

A footpath leads to the South side of the Church, and continues on past the Church.

Of these two photographs taken from near the Tower and looking towards the South porch, the one on the right is the more successful.

Here is the XIVthC South porch.

Here are two more general views of the South side of the Church. The picture on the right has a small amount of the Chancel at the right end. This is set back from the rest of the wall, within which the Corpus Christi Chapel is housed in what is effectively a long South transept.

When I took these photographs of the Chancel at the rear of the Church, I discovered that there were some powerful stinging nettles along the footpath! Note the cat on the footpath in the left picture.

This picture shows the rear of the Church, where the Chancel is located, with the Tower in the background.
