Llanberis is at the foot of Mount Snowdon and is the starting point for the Snowdon Mountain Railway, and also for the considerably cheaper Llanberis Lake Railway, which runs along the north shore of Llyn Padarn.

We approached Llanberis from the south east, and came through the Pass of Llanberis, where the first few pictures were taken.

To the right is a stone bridge with a stream running under it; and at the far right is some rocky mountainside. There were sheep grazing on the green bits, although I think they must have moved before I took this picture. Stephen has a picture with sheep in it.

I liked this mini waterfall which is upstream of the stone bridge.

These pictures are of one of the steam engines and some of the signalling equipment belonging to the Llanberis Lake Railway.

The rest of the pictures on this page were taken from the Llanberis Lake Railway. The water in the foreground is Llyn Padarn

I liked the quiet piece of water in the left picture; while to the right is another steam powered conveyance, only this time it's a boat.
