Marlowe Music Week 2001

Every August, the Marlowe Ensemble gets together for a week of music making in and around Sidcup in Kent. A variety of local halls are hired for the orchestral sessions, while the chamber music takes place in the homes of some of the members. The bulk of the organisation is done by the conductor of the Marlowe Ensemble, Malcolm Youngs, and his wife, Sheila, who do a terrific job and put on an excellent week of music making. What follows is my Marlowe Music Week experience for 2001.

Marlowe Music Week: Sunday evening chamber music (5th August, 2001)
Marlowe Music Week: Monday evening chamber music (6th August, 2001)
Marlowe Music Week: Tuesday morning orchestra (7th August, 2001)
Marlowe Music Week: Wednesday evening chamber music (8th August, 2001)
Marlowe Music Week: Thursday morning orchestra (9th August, 2001)
Marlowe Music Week: Friday evening orchestra (10th August, 2001)
