I have lived in or near Bromley for a number of years, and I enjoy taking my cameras out in the local area from time to time. Here are some images from the Chislehurst area.
The pictures on this page were scanned using the CanoScan FS2710 film scanner.

These three pictures were taken during the autumn of 1999. The bench in front of the tree is on Chislehurst Common, and the pond is right on the edge of the Common, close to the High Street. The War Memorial is up near the "Old Chislehurst" on the other side of the Common. I have contemplated going back to take some more photographs of the War Memorial at a time of the year when the sun is on the memorial, but the current picture exhibits a sort of symbolism with its slightly dark statue and the light behind it. |

The Chislehurst War Memorial gained floodlights during 2000, and I took these further two pictures during December, 2000. |

The ducks were photographed on the Chislehurst Pond during summer 2000, and along with the lych gate picture further down this page, will probably be entered in the Bromley Millennium Photographic Competition. |

Here is the result of a recent foray into the mysteries of black and white photography. I photographed this lych gate in the Chislehurst High Street on both colour and black and white film, but colour doesn't really add anything to the picture, and actually detracts from the lines made by the lych gate. However, toning the b&w image, as shown on the right, does make an improvement. |

The next picture has been on my "camera" pages, but it rightly fits here as well. This is the turret room at Babington House School, which was formerly known as Elmstead Grange. This photograph was taken during the 2000 London Open House Weekend. |
