The dingo is the Australian native dog and probably arrived in Australia with the Aboriginal people.

The koalas were hiding in a dim shelter and were hard to photograph well.

There were plenty of birds in the reserve, but they didn't always pose in convenient locations!

A native rodent, a tortoise, a Tasmanian Devil ... and a grasshopper that just happened to get within macro lens range!

The euro is a rather pretty relative of the kangaroo and has a beautiful long striped tail.

The kangaroos were very tame, particularly the albino one.

The kookaburras were in the trees in the parking area and laughed at me for putting my camera away, but were kind enough to stick around once I'd got it out again.
