I hadn't planned to visit Australia in 2000,
but Mother wasn't very well, so I went to see her.
Naturally, my cameras came too!
The following pages contain some of the pictures I took during the six weeks I was in Australia.
The images were photographed on a mix of 200ASA and 400ASA Jessops and Agfa colour negative film
using the Pentax KM and MX cameras.
Unfortunately the shutter on the MX jammed after five weeks and as I only paid £50 for the camera body,
I'm unsure about whether it's worth getting it repaired.
However, I do like the MX, so I will probably look around for another second hand one,
but this time I will pick one that hasn't led such an obviously hard life.
I took four lenses: my standard 50mm; the Tamron 85-210 macro zoom; the Tamron 28-50 zoom;
and the Centon 18-28 zoom. I also had a flashgun and a few assorted accessories.
I borrowed a tripod from one of my cousins, and I didn't use it quite often enough,
judging by the camera shake I detected later in some of my prints!
The images were scanned using a CanoScan FS2710 film scanner.
I hope you enjoy looking at the resulting images.
