In the spring of 1978, I took three weeks holiday, loaded a tent into the boot of my car and headed for West Australia.
The following pages contain the photographic record of my travels within the state of West Australia.
The images were photographed on Agfa CT-18 slide film using the Pentax KM camera. The only lenses I had available then were the standard 50mm lens which came with the camera and the Tamron 85-210 macro zoom lens.
The images were scanned using a CanoScan FS2710 film scanner. Quite a lot of editing was necessary: apart from the obligatory straightening of the occasional crooked horizon; and the removal of scratches, and dust which clung to some of the slides despite the attentions of the blower brush; the images on the slides were no longer as bright as I remember them, and quite a lot of work had to be done on the tonal ranges to produce the best possible digital renderings of the images.
I hope you enjoy looking at the resulting images.
